三元河乡村旅游资源主要是以河边寨、鱼洞村等布依村寨为主,河边寨又主要以其建筑特色为主,民俗活动相对较少(渔洞的情况也基本相同),汉化程度比较突出。村寨环境姣好,河边寨和渔洞有大片的风水林,渔洞更是隐蔽在古树浓荫之下,寨内的参天古树、建筑古朴、鸟语蝉鸣、幽雅宁静、神韵盎然,更有三元河蜿蜒逶迤,穿行在山林村寨之间,充满野趣,是极为难得的城市近郊返璞归真的休闲度假、乡村旅游和文化旅游绝妙景区。以河边寨等布依村寨群落为特色,其中三元河边寨、鱼洞村最为突出,保存有古建筑(石塔、石桥、营盘)、溪流风光(富洪村)、以及布依民间画、文革标语遗迹、布依花灯等人文景观。历史遗迹、人文景观、民族文化、自然风光、乡村景色等共同构成三元河乡村旅游。
