名辩 名学和辩学的合称。主要指先秦诸子关于名和辩的逻辑思想和理论，泛指中国古代的逻辑思想。 荀子最先把"名"和"辩"两个概念联系起来，指出"辩说也者，不异实名以喻动静之道也"(《正名》)，强调论证就是针对论题以辨明是非的推理过程。庄子称惠施、公孙龙等为"辩者"，《汉书·艺文志》把邓析、公孙龙、惠施等人列为名家，晋朝的鲁胜则指出："墨子著书，作辩经以立名本"。整个先秦逻辑思想就是一个以正名为重点，包括名、辞、说、辩在内的古代逻辑学说，因此后人也以"名辩"统称先秦或中国古代的逻辑思想。 郭沫若在其 《名辩思潮批判》 一文中较早使用了"名辩"这一概念。他指出，先秦时代被称为辩士或察士者，到了汉代就被称为名家。他还用"名辩思潮"这一概念指称先秦儒、墨、名、道、法诸家关于名实问题的论辩和逻辑思想。汪奠基在《中国逻辑思想史》中称刑名思想家为"名辩学派"，包括邓析、宋钘、尹文、彭蒙、慎到、田骈、申不害、尸佼、儿说、田巴、毛公、惠施、公孙龙等。
