爆震  汽油机中一种不正常燃烧的现象。汽油机正常燃烧时,火花塞点火后经过短暂的着火延迟期的准备,在电极间隙附近形成火焰核心,火焰从火焰核心以30~40米/秒的速度向四周的未燃混合气区传播,使燃烧室内混合气循序燃烧,直至结束(见图)。通过高速摄影研究汽油机爆震时发现,在汽油机燃烧室内火焰传播过程中,远离火花塞的未燃混合气(末端混合气),被已燃混合气的膨胀所压缩,此处的局部温度因热辐射作用而超过燃料的自燃温度,从而产生自发反应,形成一个或多个火焰核心。即在正常火焰传播到以前先行发火自燃,发出极强的火光,燃烧温度常在4000℃以上,火焰传播速度达200~1000米/秒以上,比正常燃烧的火焰传播速度高几十倍。高速传播的爆震燃烧使气缸内产生压力冲击波,并在气缸壁面上反射和反复冲击,造成强制振动并产生高频噪声,即敲缸现象。压力波的冲击使壁面的气膜减薄,向气缸壁的传热损失增大,结果功率下降,燃料消耗率上升,汽油机过热,冷却水和机油温度增高。持久的爆震破坏气缸壁油膜,加剧气缸壁的磨损,严重时会使机件损坏。避免爆震的措施有:使用高辛烷值汽油,燃用过浓混合气,使末端混合气本身不易发火;降低进气温度,加强末端混合气的冷却,延迟点火时刻,以降低末端混合气的温度;利用可燃混合气的湍流和旋流,提高正常火焰传播速度,或设计紧凑的燃烧室,合理布置火花塞位置,缩短火焰传播距离,以缩短正常火焰传至末端混合气的时间。
