冷模试验 冷态模型试验的简称,在没有化学反应的条件下,利用水、空气、砂子、瓷环等廉价的模拟物料进行试验，以探明反应器传递过程的规律。应用数学模型方法进行反应过程的开发时，其出发点是将反应器内进行的过程分解为化学反应和传递过程，并且认为在反应器放大过程中,化学反应的规律不会因设备尺寸而变化,设备尺寸主要影响流体流动、传热和传质等传递过程的规律。因此，用小型装置测得化学反应规律后，在大型装置中只需考察传递过程的规律，而不需进行化学反应。这样可使试验大为简化，试验时间和费用大大节省。例如：在绝热式固定床反应器的开发中，需要考虑大型反应器中流体流动不均匀对反应结果的影响，通过小型试验认识了化学反应规律后，即可用以确定流动不均匀程度的允许范围。而催化剂床层可能存在多大程度的不均匀，以及分布板应如何设计才能将气流分布不均匀程度限制在允许范围内，都可通过冷模试验予以认识。（见彩图）
