木材气化 木材或木质原料在高温下受适量气化剂的作用转变为可燃性气体的热解过程。常用的气化剂是空气、氧气或水蒸气。生成的气体产物含有一氧化碳、氢、甲烷等,称为煤气;残留的是无机物。 木材气化的主要设备是煤气发生炉,分上吸式、下吸式和平吸式3种。气化剂由炉底部送入,自下而上通过原料层,生成的煤气从上部导出的称上吸式。炉内气流方向相反的称下吸式。气化剂从炉的一侧以水平方向向另一侧出口处流动的称平吸式。常见的是上吸式煤气发生炉,原料从炉顶加入煤气发生炉中,逐步下降通过干燥、干馏、气化等 3个区域。木材在干燥区和干馏区内受气化区产生的热气流作用进行干燥和炭化。在气化区内,空气中的氧与高温炭反应生成二氧化碳和一氧化碳,一部分二氧化碳又与高温炭作用转变成一氧化碳。干馏生成的可凝性气体产物随不凝性气体产物一起从煤气发生炉上部导出。因此,上吸式煤气发生炉生成的木煤气在使用前要认真加以净化,以除去醋酸和木焦油等可凝性产物。下吸式和平吸式煤气发生炉的干燥区和干馏区生成的可凝性产物在通过高温气化区时被分解成可燃性不凝性气体产物,因此可以简化煤气净化过程。 用水蒸气作气化剂时,气化区内的高温炭与水蒸气作用,生成一氧化碳、二氧化碳、氢和甲烷,其主要化学反应如下: 式中-Q为反应过程所吸收的热量,+Q为释放的热量。反应结果所得煤气的发热量随原料的种类和大小而异。
