气候适应性原则——草坪草种选择的基本原则之一随着我国国民经济的发展和人民生活水平的不断提高，人们对环境质量的要求越来越高，优美的环境是现代社会文明的体现。草坪作为整体环境绿化的底色，对环境绿化美化的重要功效已被人们普遍认可。近年来，我国草坪业发展迅速，人们环保意识不断提高，环境变化日新月异，越来越多的绿地呈现在人们面前。但是，要想获得优美、健康的草坪，首先要选择适宜的草坪品种，选择的第一个基本原则就是气候环境适应性原则。气候适应性原则是草坪草种选择的决定性因素之一。即各地应根据本地区所属的区域性大气候，以及草坪建植具体地点的局域性小气候特点，选择出最适宜的草坪草种、品种及其组合。不同的草种和品种之间存在不同程度的差异，而且有时这种差异能够达到极为显著的水平，也就是说，即使两个品种同属于一个种，但是，有可能表现出只有其中的一个品种能够良好适应本地区的气候和土壤等自然条件，而另一个品种却无法生存。因此，选择适宜的草种、品种以及正确的混配比例是成败与否的关键所在。基于对气候条件与植物分布适应性关系的认识不断提高，根据草坪植物对生存环境的反应，可以将草坪草划分为冷季型和暖季型两大类，这也是人们常用的草坪草分类原则。冷季型草坪草的最适生长温度为15℃—25℃，此类草种大多原产于北欧和亚洲的森林边缘地区，广泛分布于凉爽温润、凉爽半温润、凉爽半干旱及过渡带地区。其生长主要受到高温的胁迫；极端气温的持续时间以及干旱环境的制约。就我国的气候条件而言，冷季型草坪草主要分布在我国的东北、西北、华北以及华东、华中等长江以北的广大地区及长江以南的部分高海拔冷凉地区。它的主要特点是绿色期长，色泽浓绿，管理需要精细等。可供选择的种类较多，包括早熟禾属、羊茅属、黑麦草属、翦股颖属、雀麦属和碱茅属等十几个属40多个种的数百个品种。暖季型草坪草的最适生长温度为25℃—35℃，大多起源于热带及亚热带地区，广泛分布于温暖湿润、温暖半湿润和温暖半干旱气候地带，在我国的中部温带地区亦有分布。其生长主要受极端低温及其持续时间的限制，主要特点是耐热性强，抗病性好，耐粗放管理，多数种类绿色期较短，色泽谈绿等。可供选择的种类较少，主要包括狗牙根属、结缕草属、画眉草属、野牛草属、地毯草属和假俭草属等十几个属20多个种的近百个品种。随着我国草坪业的不断发展，投入其中的科技力量逐步增强，近年来，在全国各地相继建立了有关草坪品种适应性研究的试验小区，为选择适宜的草坪草种和品种提供了可靠的保证。我国相关的研究院所及较大的企业也已相继从国外引进了数百个草坪品种，进行了品种适应性多层次、多渠道的筛选。目前，草坪草种的气候环境适应性原则已被人们普遍接受。——摘自《中国花卉报》2002.10/8
