滨田耕作  日本考古学家。号青陵。大阪府南河内郡人。明治十四年二月二十二日生,昭和十三年七月二十五日卒。1905年毕业于东京帝国大学文科大学史学科。1909~1917年留校任讲师、副教授、教授,1918年获该校文学博士学位,1931年任日本学士院会员,1937年任京都帝国大学校长。曾两次赴欧美各国访问、考察。除在日本国内进行考古以外,曾任"朝鲜总督府"古迹调查员,在朝鲜境内从事考古工作。亦曾参与"东亚考古学会"的活动,在中国东北一带进行调查和发掘。    滨田耕作是日本现代考古学的创导人。他在京都大学创立考古研究室,开设考古学讲座,日本大学中自此始设置正规的考古学课程,日本学院式的考古学从此开端。他在日本考古学上的功绩,在于将欧洲各国、特别是英国考古学的理论和方法引进日本,讲求田野调查发掘工作方法,重视器物类型学,等等。其主要著作有《通论考古学》(1922)、《东亚文明的黎明》(1930)、《东亚考古学研究》(1930)等。
