间作 一茬有两种或两种以上生育季节相近的作物,在同一块田地上成行或成带(多行)间隔种植的方式。中国早在公元前 1世纪西汉《氾胜之书》中已有关于瓜豆间作的记载。 公元6世纪《齐民要术》叙述了桑与绿豆或小豆间作、葱与胡荽间作的经验。明代以后麦豆间作、棉薯间作等已较普遍,其他作物的间作也得到发展。20世纪60年代以来间作面积迅速扩大,有高、矮杆作物间作和不同作物种类间作,如粮食作物与经济作物、绿肥作物、饲料作物的间作等多种类型;尤以玉米与豆类作物间作最为普遍(见图),广泛分布于东北、华北、西北和西南各地。此外还有玉米与花生间作(见彩图),小麦与蚕豆间作,甘蔗与花生、大豆间作;高粱与粟间作等。林粮间作中以桑树、果树或泡桐等与一年生作物间作较多。在印度和许多非洲国家,豆类、玉米、高粱、粟、木薯等采用间作的也较普遍。 间作可提高土地利用率,由间作形成的作物复合群体可增加对阳光的截取与吸收,减少光能的浪费;同时,两种作物间作还可产生互补作用,如宽窄行间作或带状间作中的高杆作物有一定的边行优势、豆科与禾本科间作有利于补充土壤氮元素的消耗等。但间作时不同作物之间也常存在着对阳光、水分、养分等的激烈竞争。因此对株型高矮不一、生育期长短稍有参差的作物进行合理搭配和在田间配置宽窄不等的种植行距,有助于提高间作效果。当前的趋势是旱地、低产地、用人畜力耕作的田地及豆科、禾本科作物应用间作较多。 与间作相反,在一块土地上只种一种作物的种植方式,称为单作,其优点是便于种植和管理,便于田间作业的机械化。世界上小麦、玉米、水稻、棉花等多数作物以实行单作为主。中国盛行间、套作,但单作仍占较大比重。 参考书目 刘巽浩、韩湘玲编译:《世界的多熟种植》,农业出版社,北京,1980。
