葛藤  豆科(Leguminosae)葛藤属(Pueraria) 缠绕性灌木或草本。可作为覆盖植被,用以保持水土,也是良好的绿肥和饲草。    葛藤属在中国约有10种,其中以粉葛藤(P.lobata)栽培较广,又名鹿霍、葛条。根系深可达1米,着生根瘤。茎长5~10米,常匍匐地面或缠绕其他植物。叶互生,有长柄,小叶3片,被白色硬毛,顶生小叶,菱状卵形,基部圆形,背面有粉霜。总状花序,花梗长约20厘米,花朵大,呈蓝紫色,萼片齿状。荚果长 5~10厘米,扁平。茎、叶、荚各部均密生茸毛(见图)。此外还有三裂叶野葛(P.phoseoloides),在中国海南岛的橡胶园栽培较多,用以保持水土。      葛藤在温暖湿润山坡、海拔1500米左右的高地、草丛、丛林以及瘠薄地均可生长,对土壤要求不严,耐旱性强;寒冷地区,入冬后,地下部分可以越冬。除排水不良的粘土外,其他类型土壤均可生长, pH4.5左右的酸性土壤上也能适应,一般多在5~6月间采用扦插或压条法进行无性繁殖。    茎和叶可作饲草,干草含粗蛋白质16%左右,粗脂肪2.5%左右,粗纤维28%左右,可溶性碳水化合物35%左右,矿物质7%左右,尤其是钙质含量较高。根的淀粉含量较高,可达40%左右,提取后可供食用。茎蔓可作编织材料,韧皮部的纤维精制后可制绳或供纺织。
