棕壤 又名棕色森林土。发育于暖温带湿润气候区中生型落叶林下的土壤。其主要特征是呈微酸性反应,心土层(B层)呈鲜棕色。 成土母质多为酸性母岩风化物。主要分布地区的年平均气温约为 8~12℃,≥10℃的积温在4000℃上下,年降水量600~900毫米;干燥度0.8~1.1。在欧洲分布很广,尤以西欧的英国、法国、联邦德国和瑞典等为多;东欧的巴尔干半岛和苏联欧洲部分的南部山地也有分布。在北美主要分布于美国东部。在亚洲主要分布于中国辽东半岛、山东半岛和山东的中、南部等地以及黄棕壤、褐土区的垂直带上;并见于朝鲜和日本。 棕壤粘粒的SiO2/R2O3为 2.3~2.5,SiO2/AL2O3为3.0~3.4,粘土矿物以水云母为主,蛭石次之,并有一定数量的高岭石。分为下列亚类:①典型棕壤。质地较为均一。②淋淀棕壤。分布地区地形平缓,土层深厚,有明显的淀积粘化作用和铁锰淋溶淀积作用,呈微酸性反应,盐基饱和度一般高于75%。多已开垦种植旱作物和落叶果树(苹果、梨);但有一定程度的侵蚀影响,灌溉条件也较差。③酸性棕壤。多分布于山地,呈酸性反应,B层不甚明显,其盐基饱和度一般小于50%。④白浆化棕壤。多分布于丘陵地或山地,质地上粗下粘,因受上层滞水或侧渗的影响,亚表土中的铁质受淋失而形成浆层。农业上多为低产旱地、次生林地或荒地。⑤潮棕壤。是受地下水影响较深的土壤,底土层出现锈纹锈斑。农业上多为高产旱地。⑥粗骨棕壤(或称棕壤性土)。是受侵蚀影响较重的土壤,表层浅薄且多石砾。仅在采取水土保持措施后方可种植花生和落叶果树等。(见彩图)
