根瘤菌属分子式:CAS号:性质:根瘤菌科中的一属无芽孢、能运动、能刺激豆科根部形成根瘤并与其共生的革兰氏阴性杆菌。细胞大小为0.5~0.9μm×l.2~3.0μm。在不利条件下细胞呈多形性。借鞭毛运动,鞭毛亚极端生(1根)、侧生(数根)或极生。在老龄菌的细胞内常有聚羟基丁酸(PHB)贮藏粒。菌落黏性,直径约2~4mm。可利用甘露醇和糖类产酸而不产气。与豆科植物共生时可固氮;单独生长时则不固氮。生长好氧。广泛地分布在土壤中。G+C mol%值为59.1~65.5。模式种为豌豆根瘤菌(R. leguminosarum)。
