乌拉草乌拉草Carexmeyeriana苔草属的一种。产中国东北。生于森林地区沼泽或三江平原草甸沼泽中。根状茎紧密丛生。秆三棱形,基部具有光泽的褐色叶鞘。叶细条形,对折,边缘粗糙。小穗2~3个,顶生的雄性圆柱形,侧生的雌性卵形或卵状球形;雌雄花鳞片棕色至锈色;果囊近卵形,扁三棱形,有褐色树脂状小突起,顶端急缩成短喙。小坚果倒卵状椭圆形,三棱形,褐色。其叶细长柔软,纤维坚韧,不易折断,为草鞋、草褥、人造棉、纤维板等的良好材料,将原植物茎叶锤打后放入毡靴中,能御寒,昔称“关东三宝”之一。
