链反应链反应chainreaction通过在反应过程中交替和重复产生的活性中间体(自由基或自由原子)而使反应持续进行的一类化学反应。如反应H2+Cl2→2HCl的机理如下:Cl2+M→2Cl+M(1)Cl+H2→HCl+H(2)H+Cl2→HCl+Cl(3)……………2Cl+M→Cl2+M(4)在反应(1)中,靠热、光、电或化学作用产生活性组分——氯原子,随之在反应(2)、(3)中活性组分与反应物分子作用而交替重复产生新的活性组分——氯原子和氢原子,使反应能持续不断地循环进行下去,直到活性组分消失,此即链反应。反应中的活性组分称为链载体。链反应的机理一般包括3个步骤:①链引发。是依靠热、光、电、化学等作用在反应系统中产生第一个链载体的反应,一般为稳定分子分解为自由基的反应,如反应(1)。②链的传递。由链载体与饱和分子作用产生新的链载体和新的饱和分子的反应,如反应(2)、(3)。③链终止。链载体的消亡过程,如反应(4)。式中M为接受链终止所释放出能量的第三体(其他分子或反应器壁等)。在链传递阶段,若一个旧的链载体消失只导致产生一个新的链载体,称为直链反应;若一个旧的链载体消失而导致产生两个或两个以上的新的链载体,则称为支链反应。
