照相制版 利用照相复制和化学腐蚀相结合的技术制取金属印刷版的化学加工方法。1822年，法国的J.N.涅普斯进行了照相制版的实验，他利用覆以感光性沥青的材料并采用化学腐蚀的方法制出了印刷版。1839年，苏格兰的M.庞顿在其报告中阐明了现代照相制版方法。1850年法国的F.吉洛发明了可用于生产的铜锌版的照相制版法。当时为了保护线条和文字侧壁不受腐蚀，用松香粉等在腐蚀过程中逐次进行涂敷保护，这种方法用手工操作，比较麻烦，效率很低。直到1948年，美国发明了先进的无粉腐蚀法之后，照相制版法才成为一种适合于大批生产的工艺而获得广泛使用。 照相制版原理是把所需的文字和图像按尺寸要求缩放到照相底片上，再将底片贴合在涂有感光胶的金属板上进行曝光，经过显影便可在金属板上形成所需要的文字或图像的感光胶膜。为提高胶膜的抗蚀性，还须浸入坚膜液中进行短时间处理，经加温使之成为一种有光泽的珐琅质薄层。这一薄层有很强的耐酸抗碱特性，能保护下面的金属表面不受化学溶液腐蚀。再将金属板浸入硝酸或三氯化铁溶液中，无珐琅质胶膜的金属表面便被腐蚀溶解，形成凸出的文字或图像的印刷版。 照相制版不仅用于印刷行业，还可应用这一原理制造用别的方法很难加工的形状复杂的薄片零件。它是光刻和化学雕刻等加工工艺的基础。
