组合电器组合电器compositeapparatus将两种或两种以上的电器，按接线要求组成一个整体而各电器仍保持原性能的装置。结构紧凑，外形及安装尺寸小，使用方便，且各电器的性能可更好地协调配合。按电压高低可分为低压组合电器及高压组合电器。常见的低压组合电器有熔断式刀开关、电磁起动器、综合起动器等。低压组合电器使用方便，可使系统大为简化。例如，在工业电力拖动自动控制系统的电动机支路中，只需使用一台由接触器、断路器（或熔断器）和过电流继电器等组合而成的低压电器，即具备远距离控制电动机频繁起动、停止及各种保护和控制的功能。高压组合电器按绝缘结构分为敞开式及全封闭式两种。前者以隔离开关或断路器为主体，将电流互感器、电压互感器、电缆头等元件与之共同组合而成。后者是将各组成元件的高压带电部位密封于接地金属外壳内，壳内充以绝缘性能良好的气体、油或固体绝缘介质，各组成元件（一般包括断路器、隔离开关、接地开关、电压互感器、电流互感器、母线、避雷器、电缆终端等）按接线要求，依次连接和组成一个整体。20世纪60年代出现的六氟化硫（SF6）全封闭电器具有安装体积小、安全性能好、可靠性高、检修周期长等特点，因此发展迅速。
