横贯加拿大输气管道横贯加拿大输气管道Trans-CanadaGasPipeline加拿大自西向东的大型高压输气管道系统。由1个主体工程和4个系统组成。主体工程自艾伯塔省和萨斯喀彻温省的边界至魁北克省的蒙特利尔,全长3600千米。4个系统为西部系统,自艾伯塔省边界至马尼托巴省的温尼伯;安大略系统,自温尼伯至安大略省的多伦多;蒙特利尔系统,自多伦多至蒙特利尔;五大湖系统,自马尼托巴省的埃默森,经五大湖区的美国7个州,再进入加拿大至多伦多。管道工程于1956年动工,1975年全部建成。横贯加拿大输气管道全长8500千米,管径为500~1000毫米,输气压力最高为686牛顿/厘米,年输气量达300亿立方米。管道实行集中控制。在多伦多设中心控制室,用计算机对整个管道和压气站进行遥控。日常用低空性能良好的双螺旋桨飞机进行沿线低空飞行(一般飞行高度为50米)巡逻,同时定期派人进行地面巡线,以开展日常维护工作。
