鲁胜  中国西晋时期的逻辑学家。字叔时,代郡(在今河北省蔚县东北)人。生卒年不可考,约活动于3世纪末至4世纪初。曾任佐著作郎,元康初(291年前后)迁建邺(在今南京秦淮河以北)令。他著有天文历算专著《正天论》。在逻辑方面,曾注《墨辩》,又采集诸家言论编成《刑名》两篇,皆已散失,现仅存《墨辩注叙》。鲁胜事迹及《墨辩注叙》均见《晋书·隐逸列传·本传》。    鲁胜在《墨辩注叙》中着重论述了先秦逻辑史。他首先指出名学的作用,认为"名者所以别同异,明是非,道义之门,政化之准绳"。其次,他阐述了先秦名学的渊源,指出:"孔子曰:'必也正名,名不正则事不成'。墨子著书,作辩经以立名本。惠施、公孙龙祖述其学,以正形名显于世"。西汉以来,史学家谈到名家,只列邓析、尹文、惠施、公孙龙等,鲁胜则把名家的范围扩大到孔子、墨子等,并把墨家作为名家的中心支柱。他还叙述了先秦名家的研究成果和广泛影响,认为"自邓析至秦时,名家者世有篇籍","孟子非墨子,其辩言正辞则与墨同。荀子、庄周等皆非毁名家,而不能易其论也"。他还列举了先秦(也涉及魏晋时期)名辩论争的各种问题,如"名必有形,察形莫如别色,故有坚白之辩。名必有分明,分明莫如有无,故有无序之辩。是有不是,可有不可,是名两可。同而有异,异而有同,是之谓辨同异。至同无不同,至异无不异,是谓辨同辩异"等等。    尽管鲁胜关于《墨辩》为墨子所著和惠施、公孙龙祖述其学的看法失之真实,但他的其他议论却见地甚高,富有启发性。《墨辩注叙》是中国历史上最早的逻辑史文献。
