辽河油区 位于辽河盆地的油田的总称。隶属于辽河石油勘探局。1965年发现热河台油田;1969年兴1井获高产油气流、发现兴隆台油田;1970年开始全面开展了盆地的勘探开发建设。截至1983年底,发现油田13个。勘探开发实践表明:辽河盆地油气资源丰富,油层厚度大,其范围北至沈阳,南临辽东湾,东西大致以沈山、沈大铁路为界,地跨沈阳、鞍山、辽阳、营口、锦州五市,面积超过1万平方公里。油藏类型复杂,以被断层分隔的断块油田为主,多属第三系的砂岩油藏,也有古老地层的潜山油藏,稠油油藏分布也很广。目前已开发的有欢喜岭、曙光、兴隆台、高升等8个油田。1983年生产原油611万吨。兴隆台油田是一个被断层切割的背斜构造。有75条大小正断层将油田切割成7个断块区,属断块油气藏。储层为下第三系砂砾岩,自上而下发育了5套油层,埋藏深度1500~2800m。一般岩石物性好,中高渗透率。原油性质好、原油比重0.83~0.88。欢喜岭油田是辽河目前最大的油田。该油田是在构造斜坡背景上被断层切割而成的断块油田。在下第三系发育6套含油层系,油藏类型复杂,有断层遮挡、砂岩上倾尖灭、地层岩性、构造断块等油藏。油层深 1400~2900m。发育在构造斜坡带上的高升油田是全国著名的厚层块状稠油油藏。
