远程信息处理系统远程信息处理系统teleprocessingsystems远程终端通过通信线路访问计算机的信息处理系统。又称远程终端处理系统。20世纪70年代以来,随着分时系统和计算机网的发展,远程信息处理系统得到了迅速的发展。这种系统可以同时给许多地点提供不同类型的数据处理服务,要求服务的地点仅需配置一台终端设备和相应的通信接口,而不必再单独装备价格昂贵的电子计算机。远程信息处理系统有6种基本类型:①问答系统。其中计算机被看作是大容量的存储器,大量的终端用户可以通过通信网络来访问主机。②数据采集系统。能把来自许多终端或其他输入设备的信息汇集并存储在计算机中。③数据发布系统。可看作是数据采集系统的逆系统,即主要的数据流是从计算机到终端。④会话式系统。允许主机与许多本地或远程用户同时进行对话。交互式图形系统、计算机辅助教学等属于这种系统。⑤远程批处理系统。又称远程作业输入(RJE)系统。主机等待远程终端的作业,并将作业进行批处理排队,处理后再送回原来的终端。⑥报文交换系统。可看作是数据采集和数据发布系统的特例。实际的远程信息处理系统往往是上述六种基本系统的某种综合系统,如过程控制系统、管理信息系统、自动化指挥系统、电子资金汇兑系统、办公自动化等。
