知识获取 从专家或其他专门知识来源汲取知识并向知识型系统（见知识工程）转移的过程或技术。知识获取和知识型系统建立是交叉进行的。知识型系统初建时，一般只获取最必需的知识，以后随着系统的调试和运行而逐步积累新的知识。对知识库进行扩充和更新时，需要检查新老知识的相容性，以维持知识库的整体性，还要对新补充的知识分类存储，以供运用。知识获取是构筑知识型系统的一个重大课题，但研究得尚不充分。20世纪60年代以前，大部分人工智能程序所需知识是由专业程序员手工编入程序的。当时较少直接面向应用系统，知识获取问题还未受充分重视。随着专家系统和其他知识型系统的兴起，人们认识到必须对落后的知识获取方式进行改革，让用户在知识工程师或智能程序（知识获取程序）帮助下，在系统的运行过程中直接逐步建立所需的知识库。计算机可通过以下几种基本途径直接获取知识（见图）：①借助于知识工程师从专家获取。②借助于智能编辑程序从专家获取,MYCIN系统的知识获取程序 TEIRESIAS就采用了这种方式。③借助于归纳程序从大量数据中归纳出所需知识(见学习)。④借助于文本理解程序从教科书或科技资料中提炼出所需知识（见响应生成）。
