黑障区 再入体返回大气层后无线电信号中断的飞行区段。火箭和航天器重新进入大气层的部分，如弹头、再入舱等称为再入体。再入体以超高速进入大气层时会产生激波。再入体表面与周围部分气体呈粘滞状态，表面热量散发速度降低。在激波与再入体之间形成一个温度高达几千度的高温区。高温气体和再入体表面材料的分子分解、电离和重新复合的结果，形成一个等离子区。它像鞘套一样包围着再入体，故称等离子鞘。等离子鞘能吸收和反射电波，使传播衰减。衰减超过一定限度时再入体与外界的通信即中断，这种现象称为黑障。黑障区的范围取决于再入体的外形、材料、再入速度以及发射信号的频率和功率。黑障现象给载人飞船再入返回时的实时通信、再入测量造成困难。从20世纪50年代起人们就开始研究黑障及其消除方法。一方面通过设计比较理想的再入体的外形和喷洒某种消除等离子的材料来消除或减弱等离子鞘；另一方面改进通信与测量的方法和设备，以减弱黑障区的影响，例如,提高信号的频率和功率,将天线安装在等离子鞘最薄的位置等。但是这些方法只能缩短信号中断的时间，还不能完全解决再入黑障问题。另一种设想是用毫米波或激光穿透等离子鞘来解决再入通信中断问题（见遥测技术）。
