湖口老街位于新竹县湖口乡老湖口的湖口老街，是台湾目前保存最完善的老街之一；两旁街屋皆为二、三落式的狭长店铺住宅，二楼紧邻街面，没有留设阳台，骑楼采拱形亭仔脚设计，正立面则雕有各式动物及花鸟图案，其上并有刻镂精细的商家店号，为日据时期商业街屋的精采之作。老街的兴起与台湾铁道的兴筑息息相关，老街采用当时最时髦的红砖建材，建筑形式则为繁复华丽的巴洛克式样，可见其繁华景象。老洋楼的幽然古意，及精雕细琢的墙饰，依然散发风华，而古朴有味的亭仔脚，圆拱形廊道呈现层层的秩序美感，更引人流连。铁道为老街带来风光岁月，湖口老街包括南北向主街及东西向两条街道，呈l形交会于三元宫，其中主街绵延300多公尺，宽约9公尺。乘车指南由新竹火车站前搭往湖口、新屋的新竹客运，在湖镜村下车，往杨梅方向行约200公尺，由加油站旁右转即抵。
