锡伯文 中国新疆锡伯族使用的一种拼音文字。1947年锡伯族语文工作者改变了满文个别字母的形体，增删了一些音节，成为锡伯文(见图)。锡伯文书写时以词为单位,从上到下,行款从左到右。采取通用的标点符号，标明句读、语气和专名。锡伯文有 6个元音字母、24个辅音字母和10个专用于拼写外来语的字母。字母单用或出现在词首、词中、词末以及词中音节首、词中音节末等不同位置时往往有不同的字形。 锡伯文和满文不同之处主要有以下几方面：①满文表示辅音 f的字母与元音a、媅相拼时是一种形体，与元音i、o、u相拼时是另一种形体；锡伯文表示f的字母只有一种形体,即满文f与元音a、媅相拼时的形体。②满文辅音字母扷出现在词首时同出现在词中音节首的形体不同;锡伯文的字母扷在上述两种情况下,都用满文扷出现在词首的那种形体。③满文出现在词中音节末的辅音q用两个字牙表示,左边带两个点; 锡伯文的辅音q的写法不同，只有一个字牙，左边带两个点。④满文位于词中音节末的辅音q与k，在形体上有区别;锡伯文没有区别,都使用 k。另外，满文没有音节wi、wo、wu，锡伯文增加了这三个音节。 锡伯文对发展锡伯族文化事业起着重要作用。察布查尔锡伯族小学从一年级到三年级设有锡伯文课。1953年新疆人民出版社成立了锡伯文编辑组，先后出版了各类锡伯文图书200余种。1946年在伊宁市创办了锡伯文报纸《新生活报》(1950年迁至察布查尔锡伯自治县,1972年更名为《察布查尔报》)。
