《社会学：关于社会交往形式的探讨》 德国社会学家G.齐美尔关于形式社会学的代表作。简称《社会学》。由不同时期的有关这一主题的论文编辑而成。1908年在莱比锡出版。齐美尔在1894年出版的《社会学的问题》一书中认为，社会学是分析社会交往的各种形式，如交换、斗争、统治、服从、秘密、荣誉等的学科。《社会学》一书对这一问题作了进一步的探讨，揭示了社会交往的纯粹形式、它与行为纯粹形式的关系、它的产生和发展，以及随着对象特点的不同而发生的变化。作者把社会交往纯粹形式分为社会过程、社会类型、发展模式三类。社会过程是社会现象不依赖于具体实现过程的不变结构，如统治、服从等；社会类型是参加某种关系的人所具有的、不以某种具体相互关系为转移的特殊品质，即典型的角色行为，如穷人、达官贵人等的类型；发展模式包含着更复杂的社会过程，如群体的分化、社会组织的基础向功能的转变及从外部机械的标准向更合理的标准的转变、社会的形式和内容的分离，以及自发形式的出现等。 本书所阐明的形式社会学，把德国哲学家I.康德的先天范畴用于社会交往领域，把社会交往中的日常事件作为分析对象，因而把社会学研究引导到日常生活中相互作用的现象学研究上，成为日常生活社会学的先声。
