蓝舌病 由呼肠孤病毒科(Reoviridae)环形病毒属(Orbi-viruses)中的蓝舌病病毒所致的传染病。又名绵羊卡他热、 绵羊鼻镜肿痛。 该病毒主要由库蠓(Culicoides variipennis)传播。 分为20个血清型,各型之间毒力有所差异。主要侵害绵羊,也可感染牛和山羊。野生反刍动物如鹿,对本病敏感。绵羊患病的主要特征是发烧、消瘦,口腔、舌粘膜充血、郁血、呈蓝紫色、肿胀。在非洲大陆流行已有很长历史。首次描述本病的是哈钦,当时称为流行性卡他热。后经斯普鲁尔研究确定本病名。现在南非、肯尼亚、美国、印度和泰国等仍有发生。病畜和带毒反刍动物是主要传染源。人工接种也能成功。呈明显的季节性流行,在昆虫活动盛期发病率最高,寒冷季节终止。潜伏期 3~10天。病羊初期体温升高至40~41.5℃,持续数天,迅速出现口腔、舌颊粘膜充血、郁血,唇、舌、咽喉水肿,耳肿胀下垂,舌、齿龈、唇边缘口角糜烂,蹄冠皮肤郁血,四肢僵硬或跛行,发生蹄叶炎,康复后蹄壳可能脱落。感病绵羊多因口腔严重损伤而停止采食,消瘦,贫血,常在出现症状后8~10天突然死亡,死亡率约为 2~30%。牛和山羊感染后多不表现口腔等明显临诊症状,仅表现亚临诊症状,如白细胞减少或体温上升等。根据流行病学、临诊症状和病理变化可作出初诊。确诊须作实验室诊断,如人工感染试验、病原分离及特异性免疫学诊断等。主要的防制措施是避免在库蠓滋生的低洼地放牧,以及对羊群进行疫苗接种。
