脊髓灰质炎病毒脊髓灰质炎病毒poliovirus  属于微小RNA病毒科的肠道病毒属。直径为24~30nm,耐冷,不耐热和干燥,60℃半小时即可灭活,煮沸或紫外线也可迅速将其杀死。对乙醇、石炭酸比较稳定,对2%碘酊、升汞及各种氧化剂,如过氧化氢、高锰酸钾等则较敏感。根据抗原性不同,本病毒可分为Ⅰ、Ⅱ、Ⅲ型,各型间很少交叉免疫。本病毒可在很多细胞中生长,故可用组织培养分离病毒和制备疫苗。
