电熔刚玉分子式：CAS号：性质：用电熔法制成的刚玉质耐火原料。氧化铝含量高。刚玉晶粒完整粗大。化学稳定性高。以工业氧化铝或高铝矾土熟料为原料在电弧炉内熔融，除去杂质，冷却而成的熔块。品种主要有电熔棕刚玉和电熔白刚玉两种。用高铝矾土生产棕刚玉时，高铝矾土需在电熔前预烧，脱去其中的吸附水和结构水，以加快电熔过程并降低电耗。为了在电熔过程中充分还原，有效地除去杂质，需在原料中加入适量的无烟煤和铁粉。用工业氧化铝生产白刚玉时，由于原料纯度高，而不需要采用还原方法分离杂质。电熔棕刚玉的氧化铝含量大于94.5％，白刚玉的氧化铝含量大于98％。电熔刚玉的性能与烧结氧化铝基本相同，但有的电熔刚玉显气孔率较高。主要用于制造刚玉砖、刚玉再结合制品和有特殊要求的高级耐火材料。
