异形纤维  用异形喷丝孔纺制的非圆形横断面的合成纤维。合成纤维虽有各种独特的性能。但制成织物后某些服用性能常不如天然纤维。为了使合成纤维具有羊毛或蚕丝等的优点,常模仿天然纤维结构的特征,在不损害纤维基本性能的前提下,使纺丝流体通过特定的喷丝孔压出成形,制成相应断面的合成纤维,这是一种物理改性方法。粘胶或腈纶纺丝制得的纤维断面并非圆形,而呈锯齿形或哑铃形等,但并不是异形纤维。    异形纤维的断面有三角形、五角形、三叶形、多叶形、哑铃形、椭圆形、L形、藕形以及圆中空和异形中空等多种。不同类型的异形纤维具有不同的性能。三角形纤维有闪光性,可制做美观的闪光毛线和外衣。五角形纤维有显著的羊毛感,具有良好的抗起球性,可制高级银枪大衣呢。五叶形纤维很象蚕丝,织物轻软滑爽而无蜡感,可制成有真丝绸感并有化纤挺爽特点的衣料。L形纤维有良好吸湿性;中空纤维比重轻,有保暖性,手感良好,可制做絮棉或毛毯等。            异形纤维一般采用异形喷丝孔制造。选择不同形状的喷丝孔能制得不同断面的异形纤维。还可以采用熔体互粘、复合丝的分离、后处理变形、中心吹气、复合异形丝等技术,或采用纤维表面变形等方法来制造异形纤维。    异形纤维可纺制成单丝、复丝、短纤维以及纤维束、弹力丝等。用异形纤维制造的织物具有闪光和柔软、滑爽、膨松的手感,接近于羊毛或丝绸。异形纤维适于制做各种新颖的织物、人造毛皮、合成革底布、人造麂皮等,在医疗、三废处理和香烟过滤嘴等方面也得到应用。
