石英玻璃石英玻璃quartzglass玻璃态二氧化硅（SiO2）的总称。又称熔石英。由各种天然石英（水晶、脉石英）和硅化物（四氯化硅、硅烷）熔制而成。按原料和制备工艺的不同分为透明石英玻璃和不透明石英玻璃。透明石英玻璃的SiO2含量为99.5％～99.999％，属于高纯材料，具有优良的透光性、耐蚀性和耐热性，其软化温度为1650℃，热稳定性为1100℃，折射率（Nd）1.4585。常用的透明石英玻璃有：①电熔石英玻璃。羟基含量≤5／100万，金属杂质离子含量为20／100万～50／100万，具有良好的红外透过性，但光学均匀性较差。用于红外光学和强光源领域。②气炼石英玻璃。羟基含量为150／100万～300／100万，金属杂质离子含量为20／100万左右。主要用于制备半导体。③人造石英玻璃。羟基含量为900／100万～1200／100万，金属杂质离子含量＜5／100万。由于其在160～1000纳米波区的透过率＞90％，并耐各科射线辐照，故多用于制作高均匀性光学部件、远紫外光学和耐射线辐照的航天光学部件。石英玻璃不透明石英玻璃的SiO2含量大于99.5％。由于其内部存在大量尺寸为0.003～0.3毫米的小气泡，造成光散射，故其外观呈乳白色。通常采用纯石英砂或硅石英熔制而成。主要用于硅材料生产，以及用作冶金领域的高温耐蚀材料。
