帕萨尔格，S.　　德国地理学家。1867年2月26日生于哥尼斯堡,1958年 7月26日卒于不来梅。1886年入柏林大学学习地质学，1888年转入耶拿大学攻读医学，后转学到弗赖堡，1891、1892年分别获地质学和医学博士学位。1896年起到非洲恩加米兰和卡拉哈里（今博茨瓦纳境内）考察，1901～1902年到委内瑞拉考察，1905年任布累斯劳大学地理学教授，次年去阿尔及利亚考察，并开始研究景观。1908年起，在汉堡大学任教。　　　　他在小区域考察和景观学方面作出了贡献，认为景观类型是相关要素的复合提，系统地提出了全球范围内景观分类、分级的原理和方法，指出景观的形成和变异主要受气候因子影响,划分景观的最好指标是植被。1930年以后,研究文化地理和文化景观,并创立了城市景观概念。1953年获地球学会李特尔奖章，1956年获汉堡大学名誉博士称号。主要著作有《景观学基础》（3卷,1919～1920）、《比较景观学》（4卷，1921～1930）。
