北曲北曲中国最早的戏曲声腔之一。为金、元时期流行于北方的杂剧与散曲所用的音乐。源于唐宋大曲、诸宫调、宋词、鼓子词、唱赚、转踏以及北方各民族音乐,而影响最为直接和深刻的首推诸宫调,因之形成了戏曲音乐中曲牌联套体的结构体制。这种音乐之所以称为曲,是与宋词相区别。词与曲都是利用词牌与曲牌填词歌唱,但在形式上曲突破了词的定格,不分上、下阕;在句数、字数上也打破了词的限制,可以大量使用衬字,显得生动活泼,故谓“曲者,词之变”。称为北曲,又是为了与南宋以来流行于南方的南曲相区别。北曲又分为戏曲(或称剧曲)与散曲两种。两者虽同为北曲,但差别很大。戏曲是通过舞台演出欣赏的,散曲则是为了清唱;戏曲是通过曲折的情节,抒发剧中人物的思想感情;而散曲则是作家情感的自我表露;戏曲必须有四组套曲的完整结构,一折戏一个套曲,每个套曲只限一个宫调,以此贯串全套,使得每个乐章前后的调性统一;而散曲则较为灵活,它可以只是一首单乐章的小令,也可以组成多乐章的套曲,即散套。
