杨荫浏杨荫浏(1899～1984)中国音乐史家，民族音乐学家。1899年11月10日生于江苏无锡，1984年2月25日卒于北京。6岁向道士学箫、笛、二胡等乐器。1911年入天韵社从吴畹卿学昆曲和琵琶、三弦等，又从美国传教士学习英文、钢琴和作曲理论。1923年入上海圣约翰大学经济系，曾任校国乐组组长。1929～1931年为基督教会创作、译配赞美诗。1931年担任基督教六公会联合圣歌集《普天颂赞》编辑。1936年任北平（今北京）哈佛燕京学社音乐研究员，在燕京大学讲授中国音乐史。1941～1949年在重庆、南京国立音乐院任教授，讲授中国音乐史。中华人民共和国建立后，在中央音乐学院任教，后历任中央音乐学院民族音乐研究所副所长、中国艺术研究院音乐研究所所长、中国音乐家协会常务理事。他长期从事民族音乐的收集整理，有大量民间乐曲结集出版，如《阿炳曲集》、《古琴曲汇编》等。他精于中国音乐史研究，有大量学术论著发表，如《中国音乐史纲》、《中国音乐史稿》两部专著，《平均律算解》、《三律考》等论文。
