2,4-滴  氯化苯氧乙酸类除草剂,也可用作植物生长调节剂。其结构式为:    1941年美国人R.波科尼发表了2,4-滴的合成方法,1942年P.W.齐默尔曼和A.E.希契科克首次报道2,4-滴用作植物生长调节剂。1944年美国农业部报道了2,4-滴的杀草效果。后因其用量少、成本低而一直是世界主要除草剂品种之一。    纯品为白色结晶,水中溶解度很小,易溶于乙醇、苯等有机溶剂,但其钠盐、胺盐则极易溶于水。商品有多种盐类和酯的加工剂型。在 30ppm以下低浓度时可作为植物生长调节剂,用于防止番茄、棉、菠萝等落花落果及形成无子果实等。在500ppm以上高浓度时用于茎叶处理,可在麦、稻、玉米、甘蔗等作物田中防除藜、苋等阔叶杂草及萌芽期禾本科杂草。内吸性。可从根、茎、叶进入植物体内,降解缓慢,故可积累一定浓度,从而干扰植物体内激素平衡,破坏核酸与蛋白质代谢,促进或抑制某些器官生长,使杂草茎叶扭曲、茎基变粗、肿裂等。禾本科作物在其4~5叶期具有较强耐性,是喷药的适期。有时也用于玉米播后苗前的土壤处理,以防除多种单子叶、双子叶杂草。与阿特拉津、扑草净等除草剂混用,或与硫酸铵等酸性肥料混用,可以增加杀草效果。在温度20~28℃时,药效随温度上升而提高,低于20℃则药效降低。2,4-滴丁酯在气温高时挥发量大,易扩散飘移,为害邻近双子叶作物和树木,须谨慎使用。2,4-滴吸附性强,用过的喷雾器必须充分洗净,以免棉花、蔬菜等敏感作物受其残留微量药剂危害。但对人畜安全。
