铅污染  铅在自然界多以硫化物(方铅矿)存在,仅少量为金属状态,并常与锌、铜等元素共存。地壳平均丰度为14ppm。玄武岩含铅3ppm,花岗岩含铅24ppm,沉积岩平均含铅19ppm。煤中含铅2~370ppm,平均值为10ppm。世界铅的年迁移量为:岩石风化5.6万吨,由河流输往海洋为11万吨;人工开采量为334万吨,大于天然循环量。全世界现在每年铅消费量的40%用于制造蓄电池,20%以烷基铅的形式加入汽油中作防爆剂,12%用作建筑材料,6%用作电缆外套,5%用于制造弹药,17%作其他用途。铅是大气的重金属污染物中毒性较大的一种。    对大气的污染  1970年联合国调查的结果:每年排入大气中的铅为18050吨,其中约有18%来自残油的燃烧,13%来自城市的灰尘,13%来自生铁铸造,11%来自汽油添加剂,9%来自铜冶炼厂,8%来自钢铁生产,燃烧煤、生产蓄电池和硅酸盐水泥的工厂也是重要的铅污染源。    在格陵兰地区冰山上逐年积冰的地方钻取冰柱,在冰柱不同层次测定每吨冰的铅含量,发现1750年以前为20微克,1860年为50微克,1950年上升到120微克,1965年剧增到210微克。这说明现代工业的发展,已使大气的铅污染遍及全球,而且日益严重。    当前许多地区,特别是工业发达的大城市,大气含铅量较高。欧洲的大气含铅量为0.055~0.34微克/米3,中值0.12微克/米3;北美为0.045~13微克/米3,中值2.7微克/米3;日本大气含铅的平均值为0.2微克/米3;加拿大西北部边远地区为0.009~0.014微克/米3。    从全球的角度看,汽车是最严重的铅污染源,汽车废气中的烷基铅主要来自汽油添加剂,它的毒性大(例如四乙基铅比无机铅的毒性大100倍),所以世界各国都十分重视汽车废气排放的铅污染问题。在公路边进行的监测表明,有50%的铅降落在公路两侧数百米的范围内,余下的50%则以极细的颗粒形态向远处扩散。戴恩斯于1970年提出了一个模式,阐明车辆流通量、公路长度、风力、汽车运行状态、速度等因素与空气中铅含量的关系。研究表明,每加仑(3.79升)汽油加四乙基铅2~4克,汽车行驶时有25~75%的四乙基铅排入空气。有一个值得注意的事例:美国辛辛那提1964年市内大气铅含量平均值只有1946年的1/3,而在此期间汽车的数量增加了200%。该市区大气含铅量降低的主要原因,是人口从城市向郊区疏散,煤的使用量减少,车辆多在新建的机动车公路上行驶,大气总颗粒物含量降低,从而导致大气含铅量的分布发生变化。    铅污染的控制是工业发达国家面临的严重问题。采矿、冶炼等工业生产所引起的污染,可通过改进工艺而得以减轻。为控制汽车废气造成的铅污染,不少国家采取禁止或限制添加四乙基铅的办法。    对水体的污染  铅化合物在天然水中不易溶解。水的 pH值在5~8.5之间,碳酸铅(PbCO3)是稳定的化合物,pH值大于8.5,则碱式碳酸铅[Pb(CO3)2·(OH)2]是稳定的,在很强的还原条件下四价铅才是不稳定的,因此天然水中溶解的铅很少。淡水中含铅0.06~120微克/升,中值为3微克/升。海水含铅的中值为0.03微克/升。海水中溶解铅的形态是PbCO3离子对和极细的胶体颗粒。在美国的洛杉矶海岸,海水含铅5微克/升,离岸65公里才降至0.1微克/升,这是城市的铅污染海水的例子。    对土壤的污染  土壤平均含铅 35ppm。城市和矿山、冶炼厂附近的土壤含铅量因大气降尘而剧增。在英国埃文茅斯的大型锌冶炼厂附近,土壤含铅量达1500ppm以上,扩散到 40公里以外才降至 100ppm以下。在一个铅矿区,土壤含铅量从250ppm到6680ppm。在含铅6680ppm的土壤上种植的马铃薯,皮中只含铅4ppm,肉内仅含0.2ppm。那里生长的其他18种水果和蔬菜中含铅量也很少超过1ppm。例外的是有一种树(Beilschmiedia tawa),其树干的灰分中含铅可达1%。    环境标准  中国规定的铅最高容许浓度,居住区大气为日平均0.7微克/米3,车间空气为10微克/米3,饮用水不得超过0.1毫克/升。美国规定饮用水铅的容许浓度为0.05毫克/升,连续灌溉用水的含铅容许浓度为5毫克/升。苏联规定居民区大气最高容许浓度日平均值为0.7微克/米3。    参考书目   J.Q.M.Bockris(ed.), Environmental Chemistry,Plenum Press,New York,1977.
