海桑海桑介绍海桑在我国仅分布在海南岛,是一种分布范围较窄的喜爱炎热气候的树种。它是红树植物海桑群系的主要树种。近年来厦门大学的林鹏教授等人把它从海南移植到龙海,做有关其生长情况的研究。如果一片树林以海桑为主要树种,那么从远处看,它的外貌较其它树林疏散,呈现的是黄绿色。热带地区的海桑长的十分粗大,平均身高都在10CM~13CM,最高的可以长到42M,比一座小楼还高。在它身下,还生长着其它一些较低的树种。和其它的红树植物一样,它也有发达的呼吸根,只是它的根特别高,特别大,形状又像一个肥厚的竹笋,所以我们把它叫做笋状呼吸根。正是有了这么大的根的帮助,海桑才能在海边正常的生长。再让我们看看海桑有什么其它的特殊之处:它的叶片为长倒卵形或倒披针形,长4.5CM~10CM,宽2.5CM,有些像一个扎紧的圆口袋只装了一半的东西。仔细观察,你会发现,它的枝条上有一个一个明显的突起的节,而叶子就一对一对的着生在节上。这与木榄的树叶的生长方式十分相似。到了开花的季节,海桑的6片花瓣会呈现出深红色的和紫色两种颜色中的一种。平常我们见到的花萼大都是绿色的,但包在它外面的花萼却是外面绿色,里面黄白色,这倒是有些奇特了。现在有关它的研究还在进行中,不少的秘密还没有被人类揭开。相信在不久的将来我们就可以彻底的了解它的习性,更好的利用它为我们造福。引自:http://www.wwfchina.org/bbs/bottomtest.shtm?channelid=2&ddd=321022&id=321030
