刘勰刘勰(约466~约539)中国南朝齐、梁时期文学理论批评家。字彦和。东莞郡莒县(今山东莒县)人。世居京口(今江苏镇江)。关于他的生卒年,诸家说法不一。少孤、家贫,无力婚娶,曾依靠沙门僧祐居上定林寺10余年。他精研佛理,饱览经籍,于南齐末年写成3.6万字的文学理论名著《文心雕龙》。梁武帝时,历任奉朝请、东宫通事舍人,世称刘舍人。晚年出家,法号慧地。此外,刘勰还有《灭惑论》、《梁建安王造剡山石城寺石像碑》等流传后世。
