叶燮叶燮(1627~1703)中国清代诗论家。字星期,号已畦。嘉兴(今属浙江)人。晚年定居江苏吴江横山,世称横山先生。康熙九年(1670)进士,选为宝应知县。不久落职,后纵游海内名胜,寓佛寺中诵经撰述。主要著作为诗论专著《原诗》,此外尚有诗文集《已畦集》和讲星土之学的《江南星野辨》。《原诗》分内外两篇,每篇分上下两卷,共4卷。内篇为诗歌原理,其中上卷论诗的发展,下卷论诗的创作。外篇为诗歌批评,主要论工拙美恶。关于诗的发展,叶燮主张文学的进化;关于诗的创作,提出能以“在我”之“才、胆、识、力”,反映“在物”之“理、事、情”。他继承宋人吕本中的活法论,以死法为“定位”,以活法为“虚名”。关于诗的批评,他重质轻文,强调“诗之才调、诗之胸怀、诗之见解”。其诗论具有朴素唯物主义倾向以及辩证法思想。在总结历史经验、帮助正统文学继续延展方面颇多可取见解。《原诗》以理论的创造性和系统性居于清代众多诗论专著之上。叶燮手迹石刻
