电针疗法电针疗法electro-acupuncture在毫针针刺得气的基础上，用电针机通以微量低频脉冲电流，对机体导入不同性质的电流，以加强穴位针刺作用的治疗方法。其优点是：针与电两种刺激相结合，能够对某些疾病提高疗效，并代替手法运针，节省人力。较常见的电针机有蜂鸣式电针机、电子管电针机、半导体电针机等数种。它采用振荡发生器，输出接近人体生物电的低频脉冲电流，既可做电针，又可做点状电极或板状电极直接放在穴位上或患部进行治疗。电针机以具有刺激量大、安全，使用电池，不受电源限制，耗电省，体积小，携带方便，耐震无噪音为佳。常用于各种痛证，痹证，痿证，心、胃、肠、胆、膀胱、子宫等器官的功能失调，以及关节、肌肉、韧带损伤和针刺麻醉。电针疗法的配穴处方与毫针大致相同，但须选两个穴位以上，一般以取用同侧肢体1～3对穴（即用1～3对导线）为宜。针刺穴位有针感之后，将输出电位器调至“0”度，然后拨开电源开关，选好波型，慢慢调高至所需电流量。通电时间一般为5～10分钟左右，针麻可相应延长时间。当电流开到一定强度时，患者有麻刺感，此时电流称为“感觉阈”。若电流开到一定强度时，患者突然产生刺痛感，并引起疼痛感觉的电流强度，称为电流的“痛阈”，脉冲电流的痛阈强度因人而异，在各种病态情况下差异也较大。一般情况下，感觉阈和痛觉之间的电流强度，是治疗的最适宜强度。但应用此法时应注意防止电灼皮肤，对有心脏病者应避免电流回路通过心脏。近延髓、脊髓部位使用电针时，电流输出量宜小，切勿通电过大，以免发生意外。孕妇慎用。
