川贝母形态特征:百合科贝母属多年生草本植物、高15-50厘米。鳞茎直径1-1·5厘米。叶对生,少3-4枚轮生,条形或条状披针形、长4-12厘米,宽3-5(-10)毫米,顶端常卷曲。花常1朵,5-7月开花,花紫色至黄绿色,通常有小方格、常下垂,蒴果长宽各约1.6厘米。棱上有宽1-1.5毫米的狭翅。生境分布:生于海拔1800-4200米的林中、灌丛下、草地或河滩、山谷的岩缝中。分布于西藏、云南四川、甘肃、青海、宁夏、陕西和山西。用途:本种鳞茎是药材"川贝"的主要来源之一,具清热润肺、化痰止咳之功效。
