心无本体  中国明末清初哲学家黄宗羲提出的一个命题。出自《明儒学案·自序》:"心无本体,工夫所至即其本体。"在中国古代哲学史上,心指思维器官,《孟子·告子上》:"心之官则思";亦指认识作用,王守仁说:"心不是一块血肉,凡知觉处便是心"。本体指本然状态,王守仁把天理、良知当作心的本体,其四句教的第一句便是"无善无恶是心之体"。工夫一词,宋明学者多用为道德践履或精神修养之义。黄宗羲所说的心,是认识的主体;本体,是本然状态;工夫,乃指主观努力和体会。"心无本体,工夫所至即其本体",主要用以反对先验论,否认一切关于"心之本体"的观点。黄宗羲想用这一命题说明,人的认识本来不存在天生具有的道德意识或任何知识,做学问不要执定成局,而要充分发挥心的认识作用,通过不同的途径去认识、把握真理。他编《明儒学案》,正是以这种态度对待各家学说的。他在该书《序》中说:"羲为《明儒学案》上下,诸先生深浅各得,纯疵互见,要皆功力所至,竭其心之万殊者,而后成家,未尝以懵懂精神冒人糟粕。于是为之分源别派,使其宗旨历然。"还说:"工夫即本体"。这一命题把道德意识及知识看作后天学习和践履的结果,表现出唯物主义的倾向。
