琥珀突变型抑制基因分子式:CAS号:性质:又称琥珀突变型抑制基因。是一种能对琥珀密码子(终止密码子,UAG)作出反应,使氨基酸掺入位于mRNA琥珀密码子位点上的多肽链的抑制基因突变。所谓抑制基因突变是指完全或部分恢复初级突变所致功能丧失的次级突变,其突变位点不同于初级突变,不导致初级突变逆转,而是向双重突变体的野生型部分逆转。例如,大肠杆菌的一些菌株的琥珀校正基因,在琥珀密码子位点上可掺入酪氨酸、赖氨酸等一些其他氨基酸,此抑制基因突变发生在为tRNA编写的DNA顺序中的单个碱基取代,突变结果使tRNA的反密码子改变,能在核糖体上与mRNA的UAG配对,如单个碱基突变的酪氨酸tRNA,可读出链终止密码子UAG,如同UAG为酪氨酸的密码子那样。其完整多肽链的出现取决于特定的抑制基因特变,而功能性蛋白质的形成则取决于取代UAG的插入氨基酸。
