传动:减速器将涡轮螺旋桨发动机﹑涡轮轴发动机或活塞式航空发动机输出轴的转速降低到空气螺旋桨(或旋翼)所需转速的齿轮传动装置。减速器可以装在发动机内﹐也可装在发动机外成为一个独立的机外减速器。减速器由齿轮﹑齿轮架﹑轴﹑轴承和机匣等零﹑组件组成。航空发动机用的减速器必须结构紧凑﹑重量轻和在高转速高负荷下能够长期可靠工作。它在运转中还须工作平稳﹑噪声低和齿轮嚙合均匀﹐避免与其他零件发生高频谐振。减速器按螺旋桨轴线与发动机轴线的相对位置分为同轴式(单轴或双轴)和偏位式﹐前者桨轴与曲轴(或转子)的轴线重合﹐后者则互相偏离。减速器按轮系排列的型式还可分为简单式﹑行星式(单级行星和双级行星)﹑差动式和复合式。星型活塞式发动机一般採用单级行星式减速器。减速比(减速器输出轴转速与输入轴转速之比)在0.56~0.70之间。双级行星式减速器在相同的减速比下直径比单级行星式小﹐但结构较复杂。功率较大的涡轮螺旋桨发动机一般採用差动式减速器或双级行星式减速器﹐减速比约为0.1。功率更大的涡轮螺旋桨发动机则採用同心的双桨轴减速器﹐两轴转速相同而转向相反。直昇机的主减速器多数为复合式结构﹐通常先由螺旋伞齿轮减速并换向﹐然后再藉助双级行星或差动行星轮系减速﹐减速比可达0.016以下。差动行星式减速器可将输入轴的扭矩分两路传递﹐从而减轻了传动齿轮的负荷。大功率的航空减速器一般还装有测扭机构﹐通过测量扭矩指示发动机的输出功率。
