标度无关性  粒子碰撞现象在高能极限下,决定碰撞截面的独立变量数目通过复合成无量纲参量而减少的性质。在轻子对强子的深度非弹性散射过程中,实验中直接测量到的量是轻子在碰撞过程中的能量转移和四维动量转移。因此一般说来,描述这个碰撞过程性质的结构函数应是这两个独立变量的函数。1969年J.D.布约肯首先提出在高能极限下,结构函数将实际上只是由这两个独立变量之比给出的一个无量纲变量的函数,这就是布约肯标度无关性。对实验分析表明,即使在能量远未达到高能极限时,就已显示足够好的标度无关性;但精确的实验测量又显示,标度无关性是一个较好的近似规律性,但不是严格成立的,总混有一定程度的破坏。在研究高能多重产生现象时也发现有标度无关性。在大量粒子产生时,每个新产生的粒子的动量沿碰撞方向的分量(即纵动量)取不同值,需要研究的是新产生的粒子纵动量的分布情况。高能多重产生时的标度无关性表现为在入射能量足够高时新产生粒子的纵动量分布可以通过一个与入射动量无关的函数给出,而这个函数的自变量则是新产生粒子纵动量与入射能量的比值。    高能碰撞下的标度无关性反映了在高能时强子内部各组成成分可以近似看作是自由的。
