宜兴观光农业科技示范园宜兴观光农业科技示范园，系江苏省科委首批确定并启动的园区之一。1999年被江苏省科委授牌。园区位于国内外闻名的“陶都”——宜兴市丁蜀镇，东临烟波浩渺的太湖，西依苏浙通道湖滨公路。园区总面积10080亩。该园区是目前苏南规模较大、起点较高、建设较快、实施较好的农业科技示范园。园区的确立和实施，始终贯穿着依靠科技，推进发展，科学规划，综合提高的方针。根据规划布局，在园区内分别建立起粮油基地、蔬菜基地、水产基地、银杏基地等4条产业带。三年多来，园区基本完成了规划中八个方面的基础建设和设施：土地整治工程。以复垦土地建粮田、增强地力促增产的前题下，先后开挖58万余土方，新开河道3.5公里，净增耕地556亩，并建成标准化粮田5000亩；高标准农田水利工程，以高起点、高标准的设计，并构筑起能有效防灾、抗洪的明暗沟渠20.08公里，铺设田间道路12.3公里，地下暗降1000亩，横河驳岸护砌2.3公里，标准化高效灌排泵站1座；农机化装备工程，新增各种技术功能农机46台套，亩均动力1.2千瓦，建立农机专业队，机收种作业率达92%以上；农田环境绿化配套工程，以农田绿化、美化栽树7.3万株，铺设草坪2.6万平方米，绿化带总长度达27.9公里；银杏林改造工程，以提高园区的土地综合利用率和综合效益，建立银杏科技示范园，种植银杏80000多株，面积达2000亩；建立园区综合服务中心，建筑面积达1600平方米的多功能设施；实施了科技示范、推广工程，建立了良种库，新品种、生态（新）肥药在全镇推广率达100%；实施了粮田规模化经营机制，创办了一个园办农场，三个村办农场，扶持种植大户6户，规模化经营面积占园区的70%。同时，园区先后承担并实施了省、市农业科技开发项目11项。其中《高浓度复合肥在麦油上的应用》和《落雨杉属种源引进试验》获得省级推广和科技进步三等奖。《水稻超产栽培技术研究与应用》和《太湖白土可持续农业和小麦平衡施肥技术研究》项目获得市科技进步二等奖。1999年园区粮油产量获大幅度提高，油菜方荣获省农林厅一等奖，赢得了“苏南第一方”声誉。园区的工作实绩得到来自全国各地到园区参观、考察的赞赏。目前，园区以开拓的精神，将生态观光（旅游）农业已推向社会。园区的综合效益已初露端倪。园区的工作得到省市人民政府的高度赞赏。同时被无锡市人民政府列为“无锡市现代农业示范园”。
