定义：
美国政府发行的债务证券，期限少于一年。短期国库券通过竞标过程发售，价格相对面值有折扣，所以不会像大部分其他债券一般支付定额利息。
解释：
简称T Bills或Bills，为国库证券(Treasury Securities)之一。是货币市场(Money Market)中最重要和最活跃的信用工具之一，由政府承诺在发行日起经特定时日(通常不超过一年)向持票人偿付一定金额的负债证券。
此种证券是由财政部按拍卖方式折价出售，面值和发行价格的差价是投资的报酬。其可分为四钟：三个月，六个月，九个月及一年，但以三个月占绝大部分。国库券具有无信用风险，高度流动性及易于转让等特质。
