助剂助剂auxiliaries；additives在工业生产中，为改善生产过程、提高产品质量和产量，或者为赋予产品某种特有的应用性能所添加的辅助化学品。又称添加剂。但作为产品基体的重要成分，对产品形态、结构、性能产生重大影响的大剂量补加物，一般不划入助剂的范畴。助剂应用范围很广，通常再冠之以作用对象名称，如聚合助剂、水处理剂、金属表面处理剂等。添加剂的选择有一些共同的考虑因素，如：①用途对添加剂的要求。添加剂的外观、气味、污染性、耐久性、电气性能、耐候性等都直接影响制品的用途。②添加剂对加工条件的适应性。③添加剂的耐久性。添加剂的损失主要通过挥发、抽出和迁移3条途径，必须根据制品的使用环境和加工条件来选择适当的品种。④添加剂与聚合物的配伍性。包括它们之间的可混性以及在稳定性方面的相互影响等问题。⑤添加剂的毒性。食品和药物包装材料、饮用水管、医疗器械等高分子材料的制品，其卫生性主要取决于所使用的添加剂。⑥添加剂之间的协同作用和相抗作用。如选配得当，则相互增效，且可减少添加剂的总用量。
