麦角固醇 分子式C28H44O，分子量396.63。亦称麦角固醇。存在于酵母菌、麦角菌中。是最重要的甾醇。白色片状晶体或针状晶体。熔点156 - 158 ℃。密度1.04g/cm3。不溶于水，溶于热乙醇、乙醚。是工业上提取和利用合成甾族药物的原料。麦角甾酸受紫外线照射时，四个碳环的一个发生断裂，变成维生素D。可由酵母中分出。
