水轮发电机  以水轮机为原动机将水能转化为电能的发电机。    沿革  世界第一座水电站于1878年建于法国。美洲第一座水电站于1882年建在美国威斯康星州,采用直流发电机。1889年后,开始使用三相交流发电机。此后,单机容量增长很快,1890年仅1.5万kW,至1955年已能生产10.5万kW的发电机。中国在1949年以前自制的水轮发电机单机容量不超过200kW,1949年以后电机工业获得了蓬勃的发展,1958年已能生产7.25万kW单机,1972年已制造出30万kW双水内冷水轮发电机。目前位于世界前列的大容量水轮发电机为大古力水电站的 71.8万kVA定子水冷半伞式水轮发电机、伊泰普水电站 73.7万kVA定子水冷半伞式水轮发电机和古里水电站 70.0万kVA空冷伞式水轮发电机等。    分类  水轮发电机按轴线位置可分为立式与卧式两类。大中型机组一般采用立式布置,卧式布置通常用于小型机组和贯流式机组。立式水轮发电机按导轴承支持方式又分为悬式和伞式两种。伞式水轮发电机按导轴承位于上下机架的不同位置又分为普通伞式、半伞式和全伞式。悬式水轮发电机的稳定性比伞式好,推力轴承小,损耗小,安装维护方便,但钢材耗量多。伞式机组总高度低,可降低水电站厂房高度。卧式水轮发电机一般用于转速大于375r/min的情况,以及一些小容量电站。      结构  水轮发电机由转子、定子、机架、推力轴承、导轴承、冷却器、制动器等主要部件组成(见图)。定子主要由机座、铁芯和绕组等部件组成。定子铁芯用冷轧硅钢片叠成,按制造和运输条件可做成整体和分瓣结构。水轮发电机冷却方式一般采用密闭循环空气冷却。特大容量机组倾向于以水作为冷却介质,直接冷却定子。如同时冷却定子和转子则为双水内冷水轮发电机组。    主要参数  ①额定功率:用以表示水轮发电机的容量,以千瓦计。额定功率除以效率不应大于水轮机的最大轴出力。②额定电压:水轮发电机的额定电压需经技术经济比较会同制造厂决定,当前水轮发电机的电压从6.3kV到 18.0kV。容量越大则额定电压越高。③额定功率因数:发电机的额定有功功率与额定视在功率之比,用cosφn表示,远离负荷中心的水电站常采用较高的功率因数,功率因数增大则电机的造价可略降低。    发展趋势  主要为提高水轮发电机的单机容量向巨型机组发展,为了提高其可靠性和耐久性,在结构上采用不少新技术。例如为解决定子的热膨胀而用定子浮动结构、斜支承等,转子采用圆盘式结构。为解决定子线圈的松动,用弹性楔下垫条以防止线棒绝缘磨损。改进通风结构,减少风损和端部涡流损耗以进一步提高机组效率。    参考书目   章名涛主编:《电机学》,下册,科学出版社,北京,1964。
