五彩 中国明清时期彩瓷。五彩非指5种色彩,而是带有多种色彩的含义。"五彩"一词最早见于明嘉靖本《江西大志》。作者对其解释为"用烧过纯白磁器馈彩，过炉火烧成"，即在窑火烧成的白磁釉瓷器上，用色彩描绘纹饰后,再放入炉火中烘烤。如按此说明,则五彩瓷早在北宋和金代即已出现，窑址和墓葬出土的带红、黄、绿、黑和金彩的瓷俑以及红、黄、绿彩绘盘碗都属于这一品种，而景德镇窑在元代也烧制过红、黄、绿彩器皿。明代五彩瓷器，最早见之于宣德年间，仅有2000件瓷碗传世。碗外绘龙凤纹，以青花和红、黄、绿彩描绘，底有"大明宣德年制"6字款。明《格古要论》中提及的"有青色及五色花者"，即指这种青花五彩品种。明代五彩以嘉靖、万历年间产量最多，在大件器物上大面积使用浓重的红彩，有的在黄绿彩上涂红而呈现桔红色，使彩瓷更为鲜艳。清代康熙年间，五彩瓷器有更大发展，红、绿色有浓淡深浅之分，釉上出现了蓝彩和黑彩，金、银彩也大量使用，使五彩瓷器色彩更加丰富多采，并具有金碧辉煌的华丽效果。纹饰题材也更为广泛，人物、山水、花鸟、草虫、 走兽、博古等大量出现于瓷器之上，其中以绘有历史人物故事者，尤为生动。
