CNC与RP的机加工性能比较对快速原型制造(RP)和CNC加工的特点进行比较时,众说纷纭。RP和CNC的忠实支持者都在强调各自喜爱的技术优点,对于这两种技术的了解是正确选择加工工具的关键所在。 在过去的十五年里,原型复制取得了重大的进展。最初,大多数RP技术在速度方面有明显的优势,但由于精确度和材料性能等方面的问题,限制了技术的进一步发展。自从RP出现以后,由于受到某些竞争的威胁,CNC在速度得到改进的同时,也能带来众所周知的收益。同样RP在精确度、材料性能及表面抛光等方面也得到了改进。 了解这两种技术,对于为工作选择正确的加工工具而言,尤为重要,下列的指导可以帮助工具的选择。 1.材料 RP受到限制 材料的研究经历了很长一段过程。材料选择的范围变大了,性能也得到了保证。现在可用的材料有金属、塑料、陶瓷及复合材料等,材料的选择仍然受到一些限制。而且,大多数材料的性能与材料的加工、模制及浇注等方面的性能也不是很匹配。 CNC几乎不受任何限制 机加工中心几乎对所有的材料都能做切削处理。 2.零件的最大尺寸 RP的最大尺寸为600 x 900 x 500mm 尽管现有的工业化设备还不能加工仪表盘或者挡板,但是已有的原型可用于生产大多数的日用品和工业品。如果设备要生产的零件太大,可以先生产其各个组成部分,最后再接合成一个完整部件。必须要注意的是,尺寸对于时间有影响,制造较大的零件费时较长。 CNC可以生产飞机零件 CNC机加工可以生产的实际零件和模件的尺寸,小到台式装置大到桥式设备。可以这么说,CNC尺寸的限制也只来自所用的机械工具。 3.零件的复杂性 RP不受限制 如果一个样品可以用设计软件做模制的话,那么制造的时间或成本方面几乎不受任何影响。迅速、廉价生产复杂零件是RP的最大优势之一。 CNC受到限制 CNC机加工必须要处理部件的所有细节特征。当零件的复杂性增加时,所需设备的数量及工具的变化也会相应增加。大纵横尺寸比、深槽、深洞及方角都会使CNC切削设备的费用增大,五轴切削工具及某些技巧能够克服这些不足,但象底切这种简易操作却也能产生问题。
